Trend to Watch: Blush Toned Dresses

blush is not just for your cheeks. The soft, girly hue looks great in big or small doses, whether it’s a floor-length gown, pleated blouse, or pair of heels.
We’ve spotted stylish celebs wearing shades of the neutral color all season, and if the runways at Michael Kors, Joseph Altuzarra, and Valentino are any indication, we know it’s a color we’ll be seeing through Fall.

It looks great paired with almost any other color, and it translates well whether you’re at the office or on the dance floor.  A pinkish skintone like blush is sexy on for either delicate or strong skin and hair colors.

Best Way to Wear It: Blush colors translate beautifully to sheer or silky fabrics, so they work great for dressier occasions. Because skintone colors can look bare, you’re best to skip them for the office.

If we ever get around to color coordinating our closets (New Years resolution, anyone?) we would probably see a heavy lean on the colors that just always seem to work.

You can never go wrong with a blush tone dress.  Worn casual or formal, it’s a staple for any wardrobe. Blush is a great alternative to white. The blush tone is the perfect compliment to sun kissed skin.

One of the biggest trends on the red carpet at this year’s Golden Globes was the resurgence of the blush tone dress.

Falling somewhere between cream, rose and metallic, “blush” is a gentle mix of white and pink (sometimes with hints of brass) that gives pale an edge. Worn by Charlize Theron, Angelina Jolie, Kate Beckinsale and more at the Globes, it’s a lovely shade to lighten up the darker winter months. This soft subtle color is ultra feminine and sweet.
